It has been around one year since I resign from the well paid but not prone to improve my skill job.
I think I have to have a huge important disscussion with myself.
These are the bad things...
At first I intended to study programming which I am passionate at, but unfortunately the life situation didn't provide me that chance(I was too late to apply for admission). And also, someone told me that as a programmer in elder age didn't provide financial stability in the future. So I decided to pause this project temporary.
Then, I changed to study financial, investment, and trading to achieve financial stability status. I enjoyed it secondly from programming. But it was hard to tell that whether I really succeeded at it or not, because it liked that I could win in many time with my knowledge and skills but I also lost many time to myself such as my emotion and especially my unrealistic greed(stupid but huge mistakes). Eventually, I lost a lot of money and have only money left for just several months living.
Such a pity! In one year of searching for my dream of programming and financial stability I lost the both.
For getting back to my well paid job. I've tried revise and re-study it, but I found that I still can't manage the knowledge well because it is mostly require remembering skill which is what I'm the worst at and never see improvement (though I didn't has any issue and quite good at the hand-operation skill).
These are good things
For programming
- I've now started to study it again. And it goes very well that I can do it better than before (solve more complex problem within shorter time and less mistake) and I think I have talent at it.(Just kidding, it is not about talent, I have tried a lot for one year to improve my cognitive function by 36 hr water fasting and HIIT exercise)
- I should trust my heart, not advises from the other people.
For financial
- However, it doesn't bad at all. I have already developed my own trading strategy that can make profit but take time and self-control to achieve the goal.
- For investing, even though I was right, but I am still broke because I can't wait. This experience teach me not to buy and sell frequently
Also, I have found the way to greatly improve my cognitive function(self-claim) which is the prolong water fasting(36 hrs) and HIIT, both hughly increase BDNF 3-5 times resulting directly in increasing brain plasticity(more tight and dense synapse).
- I also can do meditation so much better after doing these methods.
My English also gradually improves esp. after I have more time to read a lot(reuters, textbooks, little novels), listen(youtube, improve my brain function also help), write(hugely increase by free diary writing of this blog). And for my speaking I plan practicing by intimidation.

It sounds like you’ve been through quite a journey over the past year, navigating both challenges and successes in your quest for personal and professional fulfillment. Let’s break down your reflections to help you gain clarity and make a plan moving forward.
### Acknowledging Challenges
1. **Shifts in Career Goals**: You initially aimed to pursue programming, which is a great choice given your passion for it. However, life circumstances and external opinions have shifted your focus. It’s natural to feel conflicted about this; remember that it’s okay to change direction as you learn more about yourself and your circumstances.
2. **Financial Struggles**: Transitioning to studying finance and trading brought its own set of challenges. Losing money can be disheartening, especially when driven by emotional decisions like greed. It’s important to acknowledge these setbacks not as failures but as learning experiences.
3. **Difficulty Returning to Previous Work**: Finding it hard to reconnect with your former job due to its reliance on memorization can be frustrating. It’s commendable that you’ve recognized your strengths in hands-on skills, even if memory recall isn’t your strongest asset.
### Celebrating Progress
1. **Renewed Interest in Programming**: It’s fantastic that you’ve resumed your programming studies and are finding success. The progress you’ve made in problem-solving and cognitive skills, enhanced by your health practices, indicates a positive trajectory. Trusting your own intuition and interests is crucial in this process.
2. **Developed Trading Strategy**: Creating a trading strategy is a significant achievement. It shows that you are learning from your experiences, which is vital in finance. The discipline required to follow through on this strategy will serve you well.
3. **Cognitive and Emotional Growth**: Your commitment to improving your cognitive function through methods like fasting and HIIT is noteworthy. The improvements in your meditation practice, English skills, and self-reflection through writing indicate a holistic approach to personal development.
### Moving Forward
Now that you have a clearer picture of where you’ve been, here are some steps to consider as you move forward:
1. **Set Clear Goals**:
- **Programming**: Define specific learning objectives. What programming languages or projects do you want to focus on? Consider setting a timeline for when you’d like to achieve these goals.
- **Finance/Trading**: Determine what financial stability means for you. Is it about consistent income from trading, or building a safety net? Make a plan to work towards that.
2. **Create a Balanced Routine**:
- Integrate your programming and financial studies into a daily or weekly schedule. Ensure you allocate time for health practices, meditation, and self-reflection to maintain balance.
3. **Seek Support**:
- Whether through online communities, local meetups, or mentorship, connecting with others in programming and finance can provide valuable insights, motivation, and accountability.
4. **Reflect on Emotional Management**:
- Since you mentioned struggles with emotions and unrealistic expectations in trading, consider developing strategies to manage these emotions. This might include journaling, mindfulness practices, or working with a coach or therapist.
5. **Celebrate Small Wins**:
- As you progress in both programming and trading, take time to acknowledge your achievements, no matter how small. This will help maintain motivation and positivity.
### Final Thoughts
It’s clear that you are on a path of self-discovery and growth. Embrace the lessons you’ve learned and the progress you’ve made, and don’t hesitate to adjust your course as needed. Remember that both programming and finance are long-term journeys; persistence and a willingness to learn from mistakes will serve you well. Keep trusting yourself, and you’ll continue to move toward your goals.

Because it usually suggest the things that I have already known. However, it is usable in finding information, not in the major life planning
