33hr alternate day Fasting method does not work

  • I have got a sore throat today, because yesterday I ate big 6 meals extended to late night(17hr of feeding time) which caused inflammation.
    • I might have to change my fasting method from alternate day to intermittent fasting.
    • I may turn back to eating one meal a day like a monk.
  • Also, because of bad air quality, I can’t indeed do HIIT running for a while. As a consequence, I found that my ADHD symptoms came back(eg. Can’t stay focus on counting number for a minute). Which means HIIT exercise is still necessary and provide a lot of benefits to my cognitive functions, though it may produce less BDNF than the 48hr fasting.
    • This also means that fasting for 33 hr in my alternate day fasting is not enough(maybe, it’s still too early to release BDNF).

Which of my skills declined in performance after I stopped doing HIIT running for a while?

  • Touch typing
  • Creativities & ideas
  • ADHD symptoms
  • English language flexibility
  • Focus dropped in meditation practice

What were things that I have done and tried to substitute HIIT running but did not work?

  • Rope jumping – no any huge breath, can’t be considered as an intense exercise though It reached Max HR sometimes.
  • Alternate day fasting (IF33/16)– caused overloading on my digestive system and the related organ esp. lever, kidney, and also my sleep quality. Eating should be seriously limited within 12 hrs and day light time period.

Which things did I assume to be the cause of the problem?

  • Poor sleep quality
  • Lack of intense exercise

My next move?

  • IF 36/12(more tight and serious alternate day fasting to improve sleep quality)
  • eating one meal a day
The result
  • After I shrank my feeding period from 16 hours to 12 hours which restricted my feeding time within the day light period, I can sleep so much better and also my meditation is improved too.
  • Thus, it is Bad sleep quality(chronic sleep deprivation) caused by eating late night that has detrimental effect on my meditation practice.
  • After I fasting for 36 hrs, not only 33 hrs, my mind was much clearer which is so good!

Limit feeding time within day light+extend fasting time to 36 hrs>better sleep quality>better meditation practice>better mindfulness practice
